Build a single-page app that helps users figure out how many days are left before common fridge items go bad. The user picks a food item from a preset list (e.g. cooked chicken, raw ground beef, hard-boiled eggs, sliced deli meat, leftover pizza, opened yogurt, cooked pasta) and enters the date it was stored. The app instantly displays: - How many days the item typically lasts in the fridge - How many days remain from the stored date until the expiry window closes - A color-coded status badge: **Fresh** (green), **Use Soon** (yellow, ≤2 days left), or **Toss It** (red, expired) Users can add multiple items to a running list and remove them individually. All data lives in the page — no backend needed. The list should persist through page refresh using localStorage. The preset food list must include at least 12 common fridge items with their safe-storage durations baked in as constants. Keep the UI clean, readable, and immediately understandable at a glance.

Problem Solving & Design B
The app covers the full brief end-to-end with a well-chosen 14-item food list, accurate day calculations, filter and search on top of the running list, and a sample-data loader that exercises all three status states.
Completeness B
Core features are all present and functional, but localStorage persistence relies on a non-standard window.storage API that will silently fail in a plain browser, leaving data non-persistent.
Technical Craft F
The code shows solid defensive patterns — input sanitisation, item validation, a MAX_ITEMS cap — and a polished visual system, but it ships as a single monolithic file with no type definitions or automated tests.
